Born and raised in Washington DC, she graduated from Howard University in 2000 and 2004. She has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for 25 years! The thing she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist is the ability to help people develop the skills needed to communicate effectively. When giving back to her community, she enjoys helping the elderly. On top of that, she loves to practice yoga and mindfulness as well as reading to wind down.
Originally from Detroit, Charles graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1995 with his MA and Howard University 1993 - BS. Charles has been in the Speech-Language Therapy Industry for 29 years! The 3 things he enjoys most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be teaching students, training new SLPs, and educating the public about the profession as a whole. When giving back to his community, he enjoys being the president of the PTA for his son's school. In addition to that, he spends majority of his spare time traveling.
Born in Maryland, Cheryl graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2001. She has been in the speech-language therapy industry for 23 years. The thing she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be working with families and seeing the change in children’s confidence and growth in communication skills. Her favorite activities to do in her spare time would be reading and traveling.
Native to New York, she graduated from Harvard University in 2008, 2010, AND 2014! Tinita has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for 13 years. The thing she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be being able to make a meaningful impact on each child’s life by focusing on much more than just speech/language therapy for each child she works with! Doing anything that allows her to meet/see the people she’s hoping to help is considerably her favorite community service activity. When she has some spare free time, she loves to read!
Originally from Puerto Rico, she graduated with her Master’s Degree at the University of P.R. (1080) and her Doctor’s degree at Boston University (1997). She has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for 44 years! The one thing she enjoys most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist is working with children. When giving back to her community, her favorite activity to partake in is working with Socio-Political Issues organizations. In addition to her community service acts, she enjoys painting in her free time.
Born in Rockville MD, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Bachelor’s in 2010. Later in 2012 she graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with her masters. Following that in 2020 she graduated from Arizona State University with her Doctor’s degree. She has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for 12 years! Her favorite part about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be being able to experience the breakthrough moments, especially when someone gets an AAC device! Her favorite community service act would be participating in food distribution service within her church. In addition to her voluntary services, she enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling during her personal time.
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Zoe recently graduated from Gallaudet University in 2020. She has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for five years! The thing she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be the ability to help people communicate & connect. Her favorite community service activity would be conducting free hearing screenings. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, gardening, going on road trips, and going out to eat.
Zella has been in the Speech-Language Therapy industry for 25 years! The thing that she enjoys most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be working with the children all while helping them to feel better about themselves by improving their communication skills. To give back to her community, she delivers for Meals on Wheels to help provide nourishing food for people in her community who have mobility challenges. When taking time for herself, she likes to read, watch television, and ride her bicycle.
Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts , Ciara graduated from the Howard University in 2020. She has been in the speech-language therapy industry for 4 years. What she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be being able to connect with the children and families she works with. When giving back to the community she loves to volunteer & donate clothes and books. Her favorite activity to do in her spare time would be traveling.
Native to Virginia, she graduated from Howard university with her BS in elementary education in 2015 & her MS in Speech Language Pathology in 2023! She has been in the Speech-Language Therapy Industry for 1 year and the thing she likes most about being a Speech-Language Pathologist would be the ability to build trusting relationships with children such that they feel empowered to use their voice in therapy and then in their own worlds. Her favorite community service activity would be serving in the children's' department at her church. In addition to that, in her free time she enjoys crafting!
Originally from Maine, Cassandra attended Howard University and graduated in 2024! She is currently a CF-SLP. The thing she enjoys most about being a speech-pathologist would be creating personalized treatments using evidence-based practice for each client using a holistic approach. A new goal of hers to get more involved in her community would be volunteering at local animal shelters twice a month. In Cassandra's spare time she likes to try new restaurants with her friends and exercising.
