Early Intervention Services
MACS follows the four key principles suggested by ASHA in the delivery of early intervention services. All services are:
- Family-centered and culturally responsive
- Developmentally supportive and promote children’s participation in their natural environments
- Comprehensive, coordinated and team-based
- Based on the highest evidence available
MACS contracts with the DC Early Intervention Strong Start program to provide the following services based on the above principles to the birth to 3 year old population:
- Overall Assessments
- Speech and Language Evaluations
- Individual Speech-Language Therapy
- Play Project Therapy
- Collaboration and Follow up of children identified with Hearing Loss
- Hanen IT TAKES TWO TO TALK ® Parent Program
- Hanen MORE THAN WORDS ® Parent Program
- Hanen LEARNING LANGUAGE AND LOVING IT ® Child Care Provider Program
- Hanen TEACHER TALK ® Child Care Provider Program
