Early Intervention Services

assetMACS follows the four key principles suggested by ASHA in the delivery of early intervention services.  All services are:

  • Family-centered and culturally responsive
  • Developmentally supportive and promote children’s participation in their natural environments
  • Comprehensive, coordinated and team-based
  • Based on the highest evidence available

MACS contracts with the DC Early Intervention Strong Start program to provide the following services based on the above principles to the birth to 3 year old population:

  •      Overall Assessments
  •      Speech and Language Evaluations
  •      Individual Speech-Language Therapy
  •      Play Project Therapy
  •      Collaboration and Follow up of children identified with Hearing Loss
  •      Hanen IT TAKES TWO TO TALK ® Parent Program
  •      Hanen MORE THAN WORDS ® Parent Program
  •      Hanen LEARNING LANGUAGE AND LOVING IT ® Child Care Provider Program
  •      Hanen TEACHER TALK ® Child Care Provider Program
